Color Theory in Digital Photography
During our Composition Unit students focused on contrast for a variety of projects diving deeply into color contrast. This opened up an opportunity for better understanding in Color Theory. Throughout various photographing and editing projects students explored complimentary colors, colorful vs. neutral, and warm vs. cool colors.
Students used their newly gained digital manipulation skills to combine multiple images to create a unified design. Using traditional collage techniques transformed into the digital world, students created their unique creations using Pixlr. This assignment was given twice during the semester. This allowed students to see their personal growth as well as give them an opportunity to use new skills to enhance their digital collage making.
